On Monday, October 16, 2023, the LFIB offered a first aid and life-saving training program for non-teaching staff.

Conducted by the Teach For Life team, this training involves learning simple principles to provide assistance in situations such as loss of consciousness, cardiac arrest, bleeding, total obstruction, patient securing, or transfer. Participants practice cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of an automated external defibrillator, as well as bandaging, immobilization, and stretcher techniques.

A Level 1 Certificate of Competence in Prevention and Civic Aid is awarded to participants who have completed this first aid training.
