Nearly 3 years after the assassination of Samuel Paty, a teacher was murdered, and three other members of the educational community at the Gambetta-Carnot school complex were injured in Arras, France.

As the Minister of National Education emphasizes in his message to educational institutions, the school is “under attack for its mission: to enable every young person to emancipate themselves beyond determinism and obscurantism. The strength of the educational institution will come from our unity and our commitment to the values that underpin our dedication to the service of education and the unity of society, starting with the students and their families, around our school.”

The establishments in the French educational network abroad and the Lycée Français International in Bangkok fully participate in the national tribute held in France on Monday, October 16, 2023.

A moment of reflection was organized at 1:00 PM in the form of a minute of silence for students from the 3rd cycle to terminale.
