Sport Association

Created in September 2018, the LFIB Sports Association, which is affiliated to UNSS within the AEFE-UNSS leagues context, aims at developing the virtues of sport among all students from 6e to Terminale grades, whatever their abilities and sporting levels, without discrimination or selection, in order to:

-Allow the practice of activity in any forms to the greatest number of pupils

-Train to associative life (responsibility, citizenship and humanism learning, equality of chances, integration, the exercise of solidarity and the training of sports ethics)

-Propose competitions, meetings and opening up to the host country and to the countries of the area.

Supervised by LFIB Sports teachers, students enrolled in the Sports Association (AS) have the opportunity to participate in Prozap (AEFE sports projects for the Asia Pacific zone).

From the beginning of the school year 2021, the LFIB is affiliated to the Bangkok International Schools Sports League (GBAC). This membership will allow our students enrolled in the school’s AS to defend the LFIB’s colours in championships and tournaments in football, basketball, volleyball, rugby, swimming, badminton and other sports.

Once enrolled in the AS, students can also practice one or all of the APSA (Physical, Sports and Artistic Activities) offered by the PE teachers who are specialists in these activities.

The AS thus pursues a dual educational and social objective through sports activities by enhancing the value of the pupils and allowing cohesion and dynamism within the school.

Volleyball, swimming, rugby, badminton, basketball and football (new in 2021) are the sports activities offered this year to secondary school pupils. Handball (new in 2021), bodybuilding and athletics (races) are only offered to lycée pupils during the sports option slots. The other activities are offered by the AES service.
