Learning more about Remembrance Day: 6th SIB

6eme SI English Literature Group 1 students set aside some study time to remember the brave men and women who died for France and her allies during the First and Second World Wars. Remembrance (UK) day and Armistice day fall on the 11th November 2022.

The students received poppies from the Royal British Legion and studied the significance of this day in art, literature and its wider historical significance.

Some students gave excellent presentations in English about their own ancestors who fought in these conflicts. For example Vanissa (6B) and her classmates introduced her great uncle Blaise de Sibour, a French WWII fighter pilot.

Thank you to our Teacher, the Royal British Legion and to all students who presented their own War heroes to the class! Very well done!
