Exceptional results in the Cambridge IGCSE

The LFIB would like to congratulate all its students for their exceptional results in the Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) English Literature examinations this year.

Students have been preparing for this qualification since September 2019, with their teacher Ms. Goldman, as part of the Section Internationale Britannique, and finally sat the exams in November 2021. With the results released at the end of January, we are very pleased to announce that all of our 18 student candidates have successfully passed the IGCSE certification exam, with 83% of the class achieving the very top grades of A* and A. It has been a time of great interruption for all students and we would like to commend the resilience and hard work of this class. Their perseverance has been very well rewarded.

The success of our candidates continues to exceed Cambridge’s global levels, surpassing the international pass rate of 88% this year. It shows that the LFIB offers paths of excellence in the English language.

Indeed, the IGCSE is the most renowned certification in the world for young people between 14 and 16 years old. It is recognised by the best universities as well as by many international companies. For many, it is a passport to an international career.
