Le Lycée Français International de Bangkok is run under a convention overseen by the AEFE and the French Foundation for Education. The board of management is elected from the student parents.

It belongs to a network of about 400 other French schools abroad all accredited by the French Ministry of Education (235,000 Students, among them 78,000 are French nationals in 127 countries).

The LFIB represents the continuity of the French public education system. It also provides the perfect exposition to the French language as well as the French culture, welcoming Thai students as well as many other different nationalities. The presence of the LFIB participates in the strengthening of the cooperation between the Thai and French education systems.

The LFIB welcomes students from 3 to 18 years of age. Most of the classes are done in French, but the teaching of foreign languages is also considered as key: Thai and English language for everyone, Spanish and German starting in secondary school.
