On Tuesday, 1st May, eight students and two teachers from Harrow International School visited us here at LFIB. The students were paired with students from 3C, 2A and 1ES; they started the day by being shown around the school by their partner. The Harrow students then had the opportunity to attend class.

Our greatly anticipated ‘friendly’ student debate between LFIB’s iDebate team and the Harrow students was held in the library at lunchtime. The debate focussed on the motion by the iDebate team that ‘Arranged marriage has no place in modern society and should therefore be outlawed’. Both teams presented their arguments eloquently. The Harrow team had obviously researched the topic well and were able to back up their arguments with facts and figures, but in the end the iDebate team pipped them to the post winning the debate by a few points.

The event was a great success and we are looking forward to visiting the Harrow campus in June.
